Latest events at St John's

Every Sunday at 10am - Communion Service

We presently hold one service a week on Sundays at 10am and, although legal COVID restrictions have been lifted, we are asking our congregation to respect social distancing and to continue to wear face coverings as we seek to bring back a "more normal" act of public worship whilst, at the same time, following the latest Church of England COVID guidance to continue keeping everybody safe and feeling comfortable.  More details of the precautions that we will continue to be taking will be announced at the start of each service.

Every Tuesday - Coffee Shop in the Church Lounge (open from 8:30 until 11:30)

Calling all coffee tea and cake lovers - Hilary and Betty are pleased to announce the restarting of Tuesday coffee morning opening at 8:30am till 11:30am and look forward to seeing all our 'old' friends and hopefully lots of new friends.

Hilary says, "We are also hoping to restart Friday coffee and games afternoon very soon."

Every 4th Monday of month -  Parish Prayer Group

It has often been said that 'When we work, we work. BUT when we pray God works.'  If you would like to join with others in praying for the mission of our church and the blessing of our parish then please do get in touch with Greg.  We started our monthly prayer group on 26th April and will meet to pray at 3pm on the fourth Monday of each month in future.  Because of current restrictions we will be meeting online on Zoom.  Please do email Greg and request the details by clicking here.  It is never too late to join us.

Provided the ongoing COVID situation allows it, the following events are now in the St John's diary:-

  • Saturday 4th September 2021 - Dave Maylor's Worship Night
  • Saturday 25th September 2021 - Vintage Tea Party
  • Saturday 2nd October 2021 - Oddfellows Band Concert
  • Sunday 3rd October 2021 - Harvest Lunch
  • Saturday 27th November 2021 - Christmas Fayre
