Re-ordering Project Update
Community Consultation Evening
Many thanks to all who came along to hear and talk about the plans we have
for the re-ordering of the Church. Sixty people attended on the night. It was
good to hear people’s views, concerns and ideas both directly and from the
group questionnaires that were filled in. These will help us to ensure that,
as the re-ordering process proceeds, our developing plans properly consider
all the views and concerns that have been expressed.
It was pleasing to hear that there
seemed to be a general consensus that the plans so far were proceeding along
the right lines.
We wanted to share with you the range of views and comments expressed through the Group discussions held on the night and if you follow the link you can download a copy of a preliminary summary of those discussions.
It was good that so many people stayed on after the presentations had
finished, continued the discussions and enjoyed the food organised by
Margaret and Mary. Our thanks to them and to all those who contributed food
for the evening. We also had the enjoyable experience of some members of the
Ukulele Orchestra of Spalding entertaining us at various times during the
evening and our thanks also go to Will Dunlop and his fellow members of the
orchestra.
We will try to ensure that the
architect’s plans are on display at the rear of the Church for any
who have not seen them and were not able to come along on the evening. They
are also available as a

or if you wish for a copy of the plans as distributed on the evening this can
be arranged if you speak to Michael Moriaty, Lawrence Calkin or one of the
Church Wardens.
Community Survey Forms
Thank you as well to everyone who has filled out a Community Survey form. Once again it is important for us to gather as many views as possible and they will be used to support grant applications we may make for funding next year. If you have not completed a form and wish to do so it is not too late and copies are still available in Church or from Michael Moriaty or please follow the link and download copy.
Volunteers
Thank you also for those people indicating that they would like to be
involved in some way as a volunteer. Not everyone left contact details but we
will try to organise a meeting in the early part of the New Year to discuss
ways in which volunteers can become involved.
